Terms of Use
Last updated: October 7, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of carrieseek.com and the CarrieSeek service (“CarrieSeek,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using CarrieSeek, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
The service
CarrieSeek helps businesses find and export motor carrier business contact records — company name, USDOT number, business phone, and business address — compiled from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) public datasets and filtered against business rules you configure (e.g. equipment type, authority age, state). CarrieSeek is a business-to-business tool intended for professional use, not for consumers.
Accounts
- You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract to create an account.
- You’re responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
- We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms or is used fraudulently or abusively.
Orders, pricing, and payment
CarrieSeek offers two ways to get carrier lists:
- One-time purchase (Standard or Custom list). We run your search first, at no charge, and show you a redacted preview (results with identity columns hidden) and the exact price for what was delivered. You pay that exact amount to unlock and export the full list.
- Subscription. A recurring monthly plan that includes a fixed monthly lead allotment. Leads beyond your allotment in a given month (“overage”) are billed at your plan’s per-lead rate for the list type you ordered, and you’re shown that cost and asked to confirm before it’s charged.
Prices are shown before you pay and are based on the exact quantity of leads delivered, not the quantity requested. All payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. All charges are in U.S. dollars.
All sales are final. Because you see the exact price for the exact quantity delivered before paying, and because an unlocked list is yours to re-export without limit, we do not offer refunds for completed purchases or for unused subscription allotment, including on cancellation or account deletion.
Discounts and appreciation offers. Discounts are applied automatically at checkout and the discounted total is shown before you pay. Only one discount applies to a purchase — discounts never stack. A customer-appreciation offer is tied to the verified account it was issued for, can’t be transferred, and is used only when a payment that includes it succeeds; an abandoned, expired, or failed checkout does not use it. A discount on a subscription’s first payment applies to that payment only, and renewals are charged at the regular price.
Subscriptions and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until canceled. You can cancel anytime from your account’s “Manage billing” link, which opens Stripe’s secure billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep subscriber access and your remaining allotment until then, with no partial-period refund. Unused monthly allotment does not roll over and is forfeited at the end of each billing period or upon cancellation.
What you can do with carrier data
You may use lists you’ve unlocked for your own business purposes, including outbound sales and marketing outreach to the listed carriers. You agree that you, not CarrieSeek, are responsible for:
- Complying with all applicable laws when contacting businesses on a list, including telemarketing, text-messaging, and anti-spam laws (e.g. the TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and state-level equivalents) and any do-not-call or opt-out obligations that apply to your outreach.
- Verifying that any specific use case (e.g. automated dialing) complies with the rules that apply to that method of contact.
You agree not to:
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute CarrieSeek’s lists or search results as a standalone data product or competing service.
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data from CarrieSeek outside the normal use of the product.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or underlying business-rule logic of the service.
- Use the service to build a product that competes with CarrieSeek.
- Circumvent payment, rate limits, or the redaction gate on unpaid results.
Data accuracy
Carrier identity and authority records (company name, USDOT number, contact information, authority status and history) come directly from FMCSA’s official public datasets, the authoritative government source for this information.
Equipment-type matching is different. Carriers self-report their cargo and equipment types to FMCSA, and that self-reporting is not always precise — carriers sometimes select broader or different categories than what they actually operate, including to affect their insurance costs. We classify equipment type using this self-reported data along with supplementary signals (e.g. inspection records) to produce the best match we can, but an equipment-type match is a best-effort classification, not a guarantee that every listed carrier operates that exact equipment type.
Intellectual property
CarrieSeek’s software, design, business-rule logic, and branding are our property or licensed to us, and these Terms don’t grant you any rights to them beyond using the service as intended. The underlying FMCSA carrier data is public information; our compilation, filtering, and presentation of it is what you’re licensed to use under these Terms.
Account deletion
Account deletion is handled by our support team, not a self-serve button — email admin@carrieseek.com to request it. Deletion immediately cancels any active subscription (no refund) and removes your personal account data. Your past order records are kept in de-identified form for our accounting, tax, and legal-compliance obligations; they are no longer linked to identifying account information after deletion.
Service availability
CarrieSeek is provided “as is” and “as available.” We aim for reliable uptime but don’t guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CarrieSeek and its team won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Termination
You may stop using CarrieSeek at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or fail to pay amounts owed. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (payment obligations, intellectual property, limitation of liability) will survive.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly. Continuing to use CarrieSeek after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which CarrieSeek operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
